Buttock lift and thigh lift
Introduction
It needs to be determined whether the problem has been caused by excess fat in skin that has a high level of elasticity or by loose skin which, in some cases, is combined with excess fat.
Procedure
In young, elastic skin, fat deposits in the thighs can be removed using liposuction without the need for any additional procedures (see Figs. 1 and 2). However, when skin on the thighs and the underlying fatty tissue become older and looser, irregularities on the outer surfaces of the thighs and unattractive folds of skin on the inner thighs can develop. These problems can be corrected by lifting the skin on the thighs (see Figs. 3 and 4). Incisions are made in the groin area, meaning the scars remain hidden when wearing a bathing suit. The procedure is performed under anesthesia or spinal anesthesia on an outpatient basis or with an overnight stay in hospital.
Buttock lift
During a buttock lift, skin and fat on the buttocks are removed in such a way as to ensure that a scar is only left in the bikini area (see Figs. 5 and 6).
